Progressively moving right
Since 1980 I’ve watched as Democrats have addressed their unpopularity by moving progressively (pun intended) further and further to the right. Caving on passing the current dirty continuing resolution to fund the government will give a green light from Congress to let Trump to do all of the horrible things he is–and plans on–doing.
Maybe we need a good hard fight to protect the things we care about. Democrats should stop what they hope will get them re-elected, and should focus instead on aggressively supporting progressive policies that the majority of Americans support. Democratic legislators: stop surrendering in advance!
